As part of their history topic on the Transatlantic Slave Trade, Year  5 and 6 visited the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool. The pupils showed respect and understanding as they learnt about black history and how enslaved Africans were treated during this period of history. We also got to have a walk around the Albert Docks looking for further evidence of how Liverpool was linked to the transport of cotton, sugar and tobacco. We even spotted the Tate Gallery and learnt about Sir Henry Tate’s link to the sugar industry. Our pupils were a real credit to us and we had some lovely comments from members of the public. We are proud of you Year 5 & 6!
