Thank you to Violet, Fran, Lola, Joshua, Ethan and Isaac. You counted up all the money year 4 had collect for the Children's Society today in our maths lesson. 

We raised a grand total of £33.50.

Letters from Santa...how exciting!

In Year Two recieved our letters from Santa yesterday. We were so excited to see what Santa had written to us.

Reverend Mashiter from Trinity Methodist Church came to talk to Year 4 about the Christingle today and the meaning of it. He was very impressed by how much the children already knew.

This week we have been looking at the properties of circles in maths. To make our lovely festive garlands we had to work out the radius and diameter of different sized circles then use a compass to draw them accurately. We hope you like them. Merry Christmas!

Over the term, we have been working, with Mrs Smith, to create a gymnastics routine. The pupils have worked on timing, travelling, counter balances and finally the impressive group balance. They have really enjoyed putting this together and performed our routine to Willow class and Silver Birch…

This half term we have created our own Superhero group dances. All of Year 4 have had fun dancing and they have also learned a lot too.

Today we performed our Superhero Dances to other KS2 classes.

We have had a great time over the last term in outdoor club. Key stage one children have been putting on their wellies every week to experience the great outdoors. Here are some of the fun things we have been doing: 

Have you seen Snowdrop?

This morning we came into class and hunted high and low for Snowdrop. Did she over sleep or has she been too busy with Father Christmas' errands?

We are getting so worried, where could she be? Did we do something wrong or did we upset her?

In Year 3 we have been learning about the works of Mary Anning; a famous palaeontologist from the 19^th Century. We have been looking at the fossils she discovered in the Dorset coast and have attempted to rebuild them using Playdough!

The children in Reception and KS1 are preparing the Nativity Play.

Everyone is trying hard to remember their lines and where they stand on the stage!

Fran is the first person in Year 4 to complete the Round the World Reading Challenge.

Today in Year 3 we have been making animations on Purple Mash. We have been making animations of how different rock types are formed, using what we have learnt in Science. We have been animating the process of how igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks are formed.
