Y2 have been learning about the significance of light during advent, in RE. We have been thinking about why Christians believe that Jesus is a light and what a Christingle represents. We also thought how they could be a light to others, by showing our school values - kindness and pride in our school. They children made their own Christingle’s in class and learnt a new Christingle song ‘Hope of Heaven’, which we performed in church to parents. They also use their British Sign Language skills, to sign ‘My Lighthouse’. The children really enjoyed showcasing their learning.
