As we have celebrated Engineering Day today, we started off by thinking about what they thought engineering was and drawing what they thought an engineer would look like. With most children drawing men, we talked about all children’s aspirations and being whatever they wanted. The children then learnt about the different types of engineering from biomedical, mechanical, aeronautical and even environmental engineering. Year 6 then had to design, create, test and modify a suspension bridge to carry a load. Well done to all the pupils who worked well as a team. We had a lot of fun testing them too.
