As a school, we consistently strive for excellence through our high standards, high expectations, and high status within the community.
Last year, we successfully developed and refined our school rules. Building on that foundation, this year we are excited to introduce new certificates and stickers to further praise and reward our pupils.
One key change is the renaming and rebranding of our Star of the Week award, which will now be known as our Values Award. This award will be presented weekly, in our Friday celebration assembly, alongside our long-standing Class Dojo Winner. We are also introducing a half-termly focus value, which will be a key theme across the school. This value will be explicitly taught in assemblies and emphasised throughout the school community. To support this, we have purchased special golden stickers to reward children who are consistently demonstrating the focus value in their daily behaviour and interactions.
In line with our School Development Plan and following a key area of focus highlighted in our recent Ofsted inspection, we are also launching a Pride in Presentation certificate. This will be awarded fortnightly to pupils who are making noticeable progress in the quality and care of their work presentation. Alongside this, pupils can receive Pride in Presentation stickers in their books.
Additionally, to promote pupil voice and the British value of democracy, we are introducing a new half-termly Pupil Choice Award. Pupils in each class will vote for a peer who consistently demonstrates and promotes our school rules and values.
We are proud of the progress we continue to make and are committed to recognising and celebrating the efforts and achievements of all our pupils.
