From den-building and sports to exploring the mud kitchen and dressing up in imaginative costumes, it's been wonderful to see the variety of opportunities available to pupils during break and lunchtime. The play areas have been buzzing with energy, creativity, and laughter.
One of the most heart-warming aspects of OPAL play is the way it brings children of different ages together. It’s fabulous to see older and younger pupils playing side by side—helping, learning from, and enjoying each other's company. This mix of ages not only supports the development of social skills and confidence but also creates a strong sense of community across the school.
Staff have been delighted to witness how engaged the children are, exploring new activities and using the space in imaginative ways. OPAL continues to be a valued part of our school day, encouraging independence, teamwork, and above all, fun.
With the summer weather on our side, we look forward to many more joyful and active playtimes ahead incluing the opening of Gillibeach!
