Today we celebrated National Handwriting Day!
We started the day in assembly where we found out about the day and why we celebrate it. We discussed the reasons for good handwriting, especially in a modern world dominated by technology. We then learnt which muscles support good handwriting and activated them through a number of different exercises.
In classes we completed different handwriting activities, such as a gross and fine motor focus in reception and then in key stage 2 we learnt about calligraphy and handwriting as an art form.
