A big welcome to Gillibrand for the new Reception starters for 2024-2025!

What a week it has been, the new starters have absolutely blown our socks off with their kindness, manners and fantastic attitude to all the new things they have experienced. We can't believe how well they have settled in to the daily routine of school, it feels like they have been here for weeks already! 

This week we have concentrated on building relationships with classmates and staff, read The Colour Monster to learn all about managing our feelings and explored all of the new areas of learning. The home corner has been a particular favourite for the class where they have held tea parties, made pizzas, shared stories, left messages on the phone and created some brilliant playdough food.

You have been a pleasure to have in, a credit to Gillibrand and we are so excited to continue our learning journey with you!
