Over the last 4 weeks, the children have spent the afternoon designing an outdoor space, drawing and colouring what they’d like to see in that space, planting up planters with perennial flowering plants and painting their designs onto the shed in this area.

Today the project was competing with them creating a living wall of 30 flowering plants to add to the backdrop of their colourful floral paining design on the shed.

To do this Frank the Fixer (Francis Fitzgerald) attached 3 lengths of hollow plastic tubing (plumbing supplies)with fittings to the shed and we spaced this out to enable 30 hanging pots to be attached before letting the children plant them up with guidance. Frank also helped with the planters, spraying the special wood paint, adding the lining and smoothing the edges for safety.
