Children filled the planters with fresh compost and broke up all of the kumos aerating the soil. Then we talked about their designs for the planters and how best to place the plants, considering height and spread, depth in the soil and how they would look visually.

The children carefully removed the plants from the pots, took care of not to damage the plants, but ‘teased’ the roots (after the circular growth in plastic pots) and made sure they were bedded in well before giving them a good soaking with water.

It’s all looking good so far .

Take a look at the wonderful work year 4 children have been doing with 'Growing for Goodness'.
