KS1 have enjoyed a fantastic Great Fire of London launch day! We started the day with a water bucket challenge, replicating what residents on Pudding Lane did as they transported water from the Thames to the bakery. We then had a virtual author visit from Kate Cunningham who told us a story all about Vlad and Boston, a flea and a rat who survived the Great Fire. Finally, we ended our day with a real fire and toasted marshmallows. A great start to our topic!
