The author Tom Palmer came to visit recently and talked to all the children in KS2. He told them all about his life as an author and how long it took him to write a book. Tom discussed strategies with the children which will help them with writing, such as editing and improving their work.
" He gave me good advice on how to improve my writing. He told us to read more so we got to know what type of books we liked." Year 6 pupil
It was a great day in school, instilling that love for reading and books that we all have at Gillibrand and hopefully some of our children are now reading more of his books.
