We are collecting food for the Chorley Help the Homeless appeal to support families who are at risk of or are affected by homelessness.
As part of their activities they operate a foodbank and are supporting an ever increasing number of families in our local community. On average they are helping 40 families each week and each of the families receives 2 bags of food. Families can also have a food parcel each week to support them at this difficult time.
The food items that make up their food bags are:-
Breakfast Cereal
Sugar
UHT
Milk
Jam
Tinned Fruit
Tinned Rice Pudding
Instant Mash
Soup
Baked Beans and Baked Beans with Sausages
Tinned Spaghetti
Tinned Ravioli or Meatballs Tinned Tomatoes
Tinned Vegetables
Tinned Meats i.e. ham, corned beef, curry, chilli, etc
Tinned Pies i.e. Fray Bentos
Tinned Beans like Kidney Beans etc.
We are therefore asking for your help, if possible, to support this charity by sending in one item from the list above to school by Monday 31st January at the latest, when someone from Help the Homeless Chorley will come to school to pick up the food items. Thank you for your support with this.
