In Reception class this week we have been looking at growth and change. We went for a walk all around the school grounds to look for signs that Spring is here. We found buds and blossom on trees, flowers, birds, and lots of insects. We also used the litter pickers to make sure our school grounds are litter free. We were pleased and proud to find very little litter in the school grounds.
In our classroom at the moment we are growing vegetables and will plant some beans this week. We have planted seeds in the outdoor classroom and are hoping we have seen the last of the frost so they will grow.
We are thinking about ourselves and how we have grown and are growing. We have a baby clinic in the classroom where children can role-play and explore babies,changes and keeping healthy. We are really enjoying looking at and talking about our baby photos and ourselves as babies.
We also have 5 baby caterpillars who are growing very quickly. Hopefully we will be able to watch them grow and change into butterflies over the next few weeks.
Spring is here!
